i consider the main message of the video is that germany has reaquired its power and will be ready to use it to its full potental and beyond. which the director definatly portraid but coudeve addad more veiws of the military at full attention. but with hitler in the picture also showed that he is in control of this nation and that everyone is willing to do anything for him without a second thought that is what i see when i see this video
I think that the main purpose of the film was to convince other people, within and outside of Germany, that Hitler was an awe-inspiring figure, and that the general public loved him, as an attempt to get others to do the same. Germany did appear as a great power, because the film-maker showed scenes of perfect order among troops, as well as comradery, and the adoring masses that worshipped Hitler. Hitler often appears not only as a powerful leader, such as when he reviews the troops, but also as a figure of adoration from the people, especially when he is shown on the balcony with great decorations, crowds, and respect.
I thought the most important message of the film was, like Kelly said, to show the world that Germany had regained its power and had become a prospering country under Hitler's new regime. It was to notify the public of what a great time it was to be German, and I think it did a great job doing this. The director's techniques were so successful- filming from the airplane over Germany was a great way to start the film because it was so dramatic and immediately presented Germany as vast and beautiful. In the film, Hitler is almost God-like and very authoritative; this is portrayed from the footage of masses of people gathering around him whenever he speaks. I agree with what Kelly said about Hitler as both a leader and a figure of adoration.
I think the most important message of the film-relevant to the time at least, was that indeed, Germany is back to its former glory- and beyond. I do think that the director was trying to portray Germany’s re-ascent to power and I believe that she was very successful. In the film all of the Germans: men, women, and children alike looked happy, blissful, and strong. Everything seemed prosperous and everybody seemed to be having a great deal of fun reveling in Germany’s splendid culture. In the film, Hitler is portrayed as a great man who was adored by all. In the speech introducing Hitler, the man explicitly made a reference to Hitler and Germany being one and the same. His “compassionate” side was shown through his smiling at the adoring crowds, and humbly accepting gifts from the civilian population. I agree with Rachel that the video of the airplane was a very powerful and cunning way to start the film, especially considering the immense power of the Luftwaffe.
I think that the most important message of the film is that Germany has been able to rise again and that they are proud of their culture. They showed all the people meeting Hitler in their traditional sectional clothing, this was no mistake. I think that she was successful in showing Germany being a great power. The rallies that she showed displayed their power as a government. The image of Hitler in this film was a heroic man, a savior even. I agree with Kelly that Germany appeared to be a great power.
I think the primary purpose of this film was to simply display the prowess of Hitler's speech and leadership abilities by giving a different perspective of him that we are used to. Hitler is put in an extremely positive light in this film. His will to command the German empire simply inspired the people of Germany. Germany certainly appeared as a great power, particularly during the scenes that showed the German troops marching with extreme accuracy.
I think the main message of the film was, like John said, that Germany was back to its former power. The film definatly did a good job of portraying Germany as a World power and it was a little scary to be honest. It made Germany look like a really nice place to be where everyone was happy under Hitler's lead. Hitler appears to be litterally inhuman in this film. People are doing anything they can just to see him and be in the same room as him. He, like Rachel said, was God-like.
1. The most important message in this film was to show the world that Germany didn't get hit as bad as the other nations thought almost like the Germans were taunting everyone.
2. I don't think the film really does because it mainly showed large social functions and rallies and the biggest thing that happened to Germany in ww2 was loosing their manufacturing.
3. Hes shown as a strict but fair ruler that can still relax with his family.
and Kelly this is a propaganda film its specifically made to show that Germany is at the top again.
This film does a good job of showing the world, a new Germany. To other countries seeing a film where people are happy because they are working and have food to eat, and the country is now united makes them envious. The purpose was to show not only how this new Germany was fairing, but that the National Socialist party was the reason why the country was strong.
I believe that the director portrayed Germany's rise to power tremendously. The crowds of people saluting Hitler and the speeches that his benefactors gave were inspiring and moving.
I think there are many important messages. The first thing this film made me think was how could a sane man justify himself for all of the killing and manipulating he did. The film makes you realize to what extent Hitler hated the Jews. He despised the Jews so much that he devised a master plan to win the support of millions of people to aid him in his massacre.
However, Hitler looked like someone you would want to follow if you were in Germany at that time. When watching the rallies it seemed tragic that some people were excluded because there was such a sense of unity among the people. I agree with ryan that the people were his sheep- he was a highly intelligent man.
The primary purpose of this film was to illustrate to the German public that there was a direct link between Nazi policies and the success of the country. The director of the film successfully portrayed this through her use of strong, triumphant music, and the portrayal of the rebuilt city of nerumberg. The music set the tone and the aerial shots of the rebuilt city of nerumberg ensured success in the Nazi parties attempts at rejuvinating the country of Germany. By saving Hitler's speach till after the scenes of the rebuilt Germany, the director successfully portrays him as the brains behind the operation. It is the hype around Hitler's speach that creates this image. I think Jon brings a interesting point up in regard to the video revealing a compassionate side to Hitler. This video is so siginificant because it offers a look into what the German people saw out of Hitler. They did not see the tyranic phsycopathic dictator we see when we turn on the History channel. They saw him a man who loved his contry and would do whatever it took for it to succeed.
I believe the message is that a good propaganda, with the feelings of hope can be incredibly strong. The director tried to show a happy Germany, with food, union, fun, .... And as basically everyone said a good image of Hittler. Also the idea that German was a power again because of the acts of the nazi party, which goes against all the beliefs of the capitalist countries.
i think that the main message of the film was to show how powerful Hitlers speeches where and how many people were for Hitler.

The most important message in the film was that Germany is once again a world power. I think the director of the film was successful in portraying the Germans as a world power because every single person in the film seemed very happy. In the Nazi rallies everybody attending was doing the Nazi salute and they looked very confident. In the film Hitler is portrayed as a strong and confident leader. Everybody in the rallies worships and looks up to Hitler.
I agree with John that everything in Germany seemed to be going well and that it was prosperous for the Nazis.

I felt like the message of the movie was to portray Hitler as some hero, and show the world Germany is back to being a power again. I feel like the message was shown well as it showed Germany prospering and growing. The techniques used were also were puut in well such as showing how nice Germany looks, and how the people are always cheerful etc.
I don’t think there was any important message to the film it was manipulating and made Hitler and the Nazi party seam god like. Clearly this film was biased and used as propaganda. She was defiantly successful in portraying Germany as a great power but I don’t think it was true at all.

I believe that the message of the film was to show the power and strength germany had as well as the unity of the country helping hitler in power. I think that hitler was portrayed as a powerful man with all the film of the masses togeather applauding him. Hitler is shown as a very important man in germany as well as respected and valued in the country. Unlike Tom and Rachel I think the film made Germany look like a place I would hate to live. Everyone acting the same and walking in those lines is not for me, and no army should be that big.
I think that the main message of the film was that the bad times are over in Germany and that under Hitler it is now a beautiful and proud country. I also think the director was successful in showing that Germany had returned to its former glory. The people looked happy and showed the countries nationalism by showing the large gatherings and outgoing military. The director also portrayed Hitler as a great leader. She showed him as someone the people liked and followed. Overall I feel this film was very successful at portraying the message the directory wanted to achieve.
i think the main message of the video was to show how germany was on the losing end of WW1 and how Hilter was there to rebuild and give out hope and considered to be the one who would bring them out of that time. also many followers who are there to do anything and everything he wants them to do. Triumph of The Will was nothing short of incredible for its time. Some of the things that I witnessed sparked curiousity. One of the camera shots was shot from under the water. How were the Germans if not any one able to do that during that period of time? Another scene that I didn't fully understand the meaning of was a scene of half naked guys washing each others backs. How is that war Propaganda? Something that was noticeable was the cutting in and out of with the scenes of smiling children. That showed true propaganda because even the young children appreciated Adolf Hitler. One final significantly noticeable similarity was between Hitler and surprisingly U.S. presidents. I saw that Hitler would take the time to shake his peoples hands just like a United States president would.
I agree with John Rohald. I think that a message that I overlooked entirely was that Germany was back to its "former glory".
I think the most important message of the film was to show that geramny was once again rising to be a super power in the world. I think the director was very succesful in showing that germany was once again returning to a great power within the world. The image of Hilter in this movie is to show that he was a leader whoc cared and got respect from the whole country.
